Water Wise Plant of the Week: Tecoma

Tecoma ‘Mayan Gold’, ‘Bells of Fire’ & ‘Sparky’

One of our summer favorites!  These evergreen mid-sized shrubs introduce a subtropical to tropical appearance and get covered bell-shaped flowers.  Drought and heat tolerant, these Tecoma hybrids will max out around 4-6 feet tall and just as wide.  Profuse blooms throughout the warm season, look their best in our intense summer heat, and will bring lots of hummingbirds to your yard!

Glendora Gardens maintains nearly 10 acres of nursery and growing grounds, including carefully arranged plant beds, koi ponds, and shade houses full of creative treasures. We welcome you to come explore the garden, wander among the wildlife, and be inspired!
